Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (ICU/CCU) Location: Winchester, Massachusetts Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotation Duration: 13 Weeks

Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Winchester Hospital. This position specifically focuses on Critical Care Unit (CCU) duties during night shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The successful candidate will also be required to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ICU/CCU nursing.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Full COVID vaccination, including booster shot, is mandatory.

Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU setting.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes or deterioration.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards at all times.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
